Renaissance is an effective course of skin therapy that treats a variety of skin imperfections such as unwanted hair, age spots, freckles, unsightly small veins, enlarged pores, acne and rosacea. Renaissance is designed to operate at different wavelengths allowing highly controlled flashes of light to be selectively absorbed by hair follicles and the dermal tissues. The absorbed light heats the hair shaft, disabling hair growth from the follicles or breaks down the small blood vessels that cause discolouration at the skin’s surface. The treatment offers a gentle, non-invasive, long-lasting solution which has been used for nearly a decade in birthmark removal.

Great improvements can be achieved in:
Facial flushing and redness
Open capillaries and varicose veins
Irregular pigmentation and fine wrinkles
Unwanted hair and ingrown hair
Sun damage and age spots

How does Renaissance work?
Laser and light technology is being used for an increasing number of cosmetic treatments and Renaissance has been developed according to the latest scientific research. The concept behind the use of light to treat skin tissue is that light that is absorbed by tissue and generates heat.

By using specific wavelengths of light to treat specific parts of the skin we can target and therefore treat a distinct part of the skin and safely exclude the surrounding tissue. Through the use of light filters, Renaissance combines more than six different light pulses to precisely customise the characteristics of the light energy used and tailor it specifically to each client's skin type, specific condition and location of the area being treated on the body.

By selecting these different wavelengths Renaissance can:
Dispose of unwanted hair follicles as well as the stem cells
responsible for new hair growth

Heat the dermal layer therefore producing collagen which
helps to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles

Destroy acne-causing bacteria, target overactive sebaceous
glands and prevent production of excess sebum

Specifically target melanin to treat brown spots and damaging
lesions whilst preserving the surrounding skin

Seek out small broken blood vessels resulting in the
disappearance of unwanted blemishes.

Why choose Renaissance?
Waxing, sugaring and threading are effective yet short term hair removal treatments which require frequent and regular visits to a salon in order to prevent the recurrence of unwanted hair. Renaissance offers gentle and long lasting results with minimal risk of side effects.

How many treatments?
A customised treatment programme will be designed for you along with an estimate of how many treatments you will need. For hair removal, on average you should expect to undertake 5 to 8 sessions.

Is it safe?
Each pulse of light feels like a small pinch, similar to the snap of a rubber band. No local anaesthetic is required and most people find the treatment comfortable due to the continuous cooling sensation delivered from the hand-piece. You may experience some minor reddening at the treatment site, but this typically goes away within hours.
